Our Mission Statement

As a chapter of the Michigan Steelhead & Salmon Fisherman’s Association (MSSFA), our mission is to take part in educating the general public on improving, preserving and promoting sport fishing on the great lakes and their tributary streams and rivers. We do this by working closely with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, with other chapters, local sponsors and our members. Our involvement ranges from state and federal regulation reviews to tournament sponsorship and environmental projects. Our great lakes resources are fragile and consistently under pressure. The more members we have, the stronger our voice in protecting these resources. So, if you enjoy our fisheries, we encourage you to join our ranks for fun and preservation of our clear blue waters. Bring your sons and daughters too! They are the future of our club, great lakes and everlasting fish stories. Fish on!
